On October 10, 2026, SETTWOR released Toma Jatada, a collaboration with Brazilian artist MC GW. Released with support from Authentic Records, the track marks another step in SETTWOR’s exploration of Brazilian funk.
MC GW, whose real name is Gláucio William da Silva Jerônimo, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter from São João de Meriti, in Rio de Janeiro. He began his musical career performing samba before finding his place in the Brazilian funk scene. Over the years, he has become one of the genre’s most recognizable voices, known for his distinctive vocal style and an extensive catalog of collaborations.
His career gained momentum with tracks such as Sarra Novinha no Grau, followed by releases including Ritmo Mexicano and Atura ou Surta. In recent years, his vocals have reached audiences well beyond Brazil through Brazilian funk, phonk, and internationally popular electronic remixes. One notable example is MONTAGEM - PR FUNK, released in 2023 with S3BZS and MC Menor do Alvorada.
MC GW’s versatility and frequent collaborations have made him a prominent figure in the modern Brazilian funk scene. His vocals are widely used by producers working across different styles, helping connect Brazilian funk with international electronic music audiences.
With Toma Jatada, SETTWOR joins the list of artists who have worked with MC GW. The release also continues SETTWOR’s exploration of Brazilian funk, a style he began experimenting with in late 2025. With support from Authentic Records, the collaboration brings together SETTWOR’s production and the voice of one of Brazil’s most active funk artists.
